JAMB Regularization 2026: Complete Step-by-Step Guide

JAMB regularization is a process introduced by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to help students who gained admission into a tertiary institution without a valid JAMB record to properly align their admission details with the board. In simple terms, it allows candidates to legitimize their admission so that it reflects on the JAMB portal. This process is mainly for students who did not use JAMB to gain admission, those whose admission was not captured on CAPS, or those with issues related to their JAMB registration number.

If you fall into any of these categories and fail to carry out JAMB regularization, it can cause serious problems later on. For instance, you may not be able to access your admission letter, print your NYSC call-up letter, or even be mobilized for the National Youth Service Corps at all. In some cases, your admission may not be officially recognized by JAMB, which can affect your academic progress.

To avoid these issues, it is important to complete your JAMB regularization on time and correctly. In this post, you will find clear and easy steps to help you complete the JAMB regularization process for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Cost of JAMB Regularization for 2026/2027

The cost of JAMB regularization is ₦5,000, as approved by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). This fee is paid after you generate your transaction ID on the JAMB E-facility portal.

Payment can be made online using platforms like Interswitch, or you can choose to pay physically at any designated government-approved commercial bank. Once your payment is successful, your transaction will be confirmed, and you will be able to proceed with the application.

Note that, aside from the main fee, there may be small additional charges depending on the payment method used or if you complete the process through a cyber café.

  • Visit the JAMB e-Facility portal
  • Log in with your registered email address and password
  • On your dashboard, locate and click on “Check Admission Status” or any option related to regularization
  • You may also check under the “Indemnity Form” section if available
  • Your status will be displayed as Pending, Approved, or Not Processed

If your status is showing Pending, it means your institution or JAMB has not completed the approval process. At this stage, you may need to follow up with your school to confirm that your indemnity form has been properly signed and submitted.
