Only UTME candidates who made Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) their first-choice institution and scored 150 and above are eligible to apply for admission into any of the undergraduate programmes.

AKSU Admission Requirements 

To gain admission into Akwa Ibom State University, all applicants must meet specific requirements based on their chosen mode of entry. It is very important to go through these requirements carefully and ensure you meet them, as only candidates who satisfy all conditions will be considered for admission.

UTME Admission Requirements

  • Candidates must choose Akwa Ibom State University as their first-choice institution during JAMB registration.
  • Applicants are required to score at least 150 in the UTME to be eligible for admission consideration.
  • You must have a minimum of five (5) credit passes in your O’Level results, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.
  • Your UTME subject combination must be relevant to the course you are applying for.
  • Candidates must also take part in the Post-UTME screening exercise conducted by the university and meet the required departmental cut-off mark.

Direct Entry Admission Requirements

  • Applicants must be at least 16 years old at the time of application.
  • You must possess five (5) O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, in relevant subjects and not more than two sittings.
  • Candidates should have at least an Upper Credit in ND, HND, or NCE in a related field.
  • Those with two (2) A-Level passes in relevant subjects are also eligible to apply.
  • Direct Entry candidates are also required to participate in the Post-UTME screening exercise.

Candidates who do not meet these requirements may not be considered for admission, so it is important to ensure you satisfy all the conditions before applying.
