JAMB Subject Combination for Quantity Surveying
To study Quantity Surveying in any Nigerian university, the English Language is compulsory in JAMB. The three other subjects you are required to select are:-
- English Language
- Physics
- Mathematics
- Chemistry, Geography, Biology, Economics, or Art
This means your complete JAMB subject combination should be:
English Language, Physics, Mathematics, and one other relevant subject.

JAMB Cut-Off Mark for Quantity Surveying

O’Level Requirements for Quantity Surveying
To gain admission into any Nigerian university to study Quantity Surveying, you must meet the required O’Level (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) conditions.
You are required to have at least five (5) credit passes, and these must include the following core subjects:

- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry
In addition to the subjects listed above, you must also have one other relevant subject, such as:

- Economics
- Technical Drawing
- Fine Art
- Further Mathematics
- Or any approved technical or vocational subject related to construction
All required credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings.
Direct Entry Requirements for Quantity Surveying
If you do not plan to use UTME, you can apply for admission through Direct Entry. This option is suitable for candidates who already have advanced qualifications.
To be eligible for Direct Entry admission into Quantity Surveying, you must meet one of the following requirements:
- Two (2) A-Level passes in relevant subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Geography, or Fine Arts
- ND or HND qualification with at least Upper Credit in a related field like Building Technology, Estate Management, or other construction-related courses
Just like UTME candidates, you must also ensure that your O’Level results meet the required conditions.
